Been a long week.

Probably because I hardly slept most days of the week.

Anyway, Isko’t Iska 2011 auditions turned out great. There were a total of 87 freshies who auditioned.

The sad thing, though, is that many of the people we asked to audition only got scared because of the “No Freshmen Recruitment” policy on UPLB Organizations. Okay, so, first of all, we’re not recruiting. It’s a theater play. Secondly, that’s a fucked-up policy. During high school, we were asked to join clubs, right? So an organization, I think, is not far from that. It’s a higher-level kind of thing, yes, but still essentially the same. (Ayan, nang malabuan pa tayo pareho, haha.) One shitty thing about the administration’s reason for imposing it is that they consider upperclassmen as bad influence… Yes, that was the exact term one of them used. Soooooo, if that is so, is UPLB education gearing students to become bad influence? I think not. Haha. Nakakabobo lang kasi talaga.

And then there’s the thing about org recognition as well. Here’s what I think about that: when three or more people share the same principles, believes in the same values, and wants to achieve a common goal, then they can already form an organization and that organization exists as long as they stand firm and shit. Hindi naman kaylangan na mag-under go ka ng LTS, seminars, MAGBENTA NG CONCERT TICKETS PARA SA OSA DIRECTOR para lang ma-recognize ang org mo eh
